JAIIB
JAIIB Exam (Junior Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers) is conducted by the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF). It is open only to ordinary members of the institute (Any one employed in the banking and finance industry can submit an application to the Institute for membership). Single membership is obtainable on a life membership basis. The Membership Form is available on the website.
This examination will be conducted on Sunday twice a year in May/June and November/December.
The list of examination centers for JAIIB 2015 will be provided in the JAIIB online application form.
Eligibility for JAIIB 2017:
- This exam is open to only ordinary members of the Institute (Any person working in the banking and finance industry can apply to the Institute for membership. Individual membership is available on life membership basis. Registration for new membership is to be done online on www.iibf.org.in).
- An aspirants wishing to apply for JAIIB exam should have passed matriculation exam or its equivalent. (The Institute may, however at its discretion, allow any candidate from clerical or supervisory staff cadre of banks to appear at the examination on the recommendation of the Manager of the bank/ officer-in-charge of the bank’s office where the candidate is working, even if he/ she is not a matriculate or its equivalent).
- Subordinate staff of recognized banking/financial institutions in India who are members of Institute are eligible to appear at the examination, provided they have passed the matriculation examination or its equivalent.
- New members are advised of the examination for which they are eligible to appear while at the intimation of their respective membership numbers.
JAIIB Registration / Application Form
Individuals wishing to apply for JAIIB 2017 are required to apply online on www.iibf.org.in. You are required to login with your personal membership number and password. In the JAIIB online application you are required to fill details like mode, medium, centre for the exam as also the place of work etc. Check the data and information carefully before submission of JAIIB Application Form .You are also required to make payment of application/registration fee. JAIIB 2017 application fee can be paid either through credit/debit card or net banking facility. Please follow the instructions carefully.
JAIIB 2017 Examination Fee:-
- First Block of 2 attempts Rs 2,760/-
- Second Block of 2 attempts Rs 2,760/-
In case payment is made through net banking or debit card and transaction is not successful/ complete, the fees will be refunded by concerned bank within 10-12 working days. If the payment is made through credit card, the amount will be re-credited to candidate's account by the bank in the next billing cycle of credit card. Refund timeline indicated is approximate, as the processing of refund is dependent on multiple organization and working days/holidays of bank/financial institutes.

JAIIB 2017 Paper Pattern:
SUBJECT OF EXAMINATION:-
(1) Principles & Practices of Banking
(2) Accounting & Finance for Bankers
(3) Legal & Regulatory Aspects of Banking
Aspirants are allowed to attempt the examination either in Hindi or English. As such clearly fill in your choice of medium in the examination application form. No change in medium will be allowed at a later stage.
i) Each question paper will contain approximately 120 objective type multiple choice questions, carrying 100 marks including questions based on case study/case lets. The Institute may, however, vary the number of questions to be asked for a subject. There will no negative marking for wrong answers.
ii) Questions for the JAIIB 2015 Examination will include (a) Knowledge testing, (b) Conceptual grasp, (c) Analytical/logical exposition, (d) Problem solving, (e) Case analysis.
Examination will be conducted in Online Mode at majority of centres and under offline mode (paper and pencil) at selected centres as per the notification given on the website in this regard. Examination will be held on three consecutive Sundays (one paper on each Sunday)
The duration of the examination will be of 2 hours.
PASSING CRITERIA:-
i) Pass: Minimum marks for pass in every subject- 50 out of 100 marks
(ii) Candidate securing at least 45 marks in each subject with an aggregate of 50% marks in all subjects of JAIIB examination in a single attempt will also be declared as having passed JAIIB Examination.
Candidates are advised to go through the past question papers and reference books for cracking the JAIIB exam. You need to develop your problem solving skills and get thorough with the basic concepts. Get the proper knowledge of cracking this exam from the one who has already cleared the exam. He will be the best mentor for you. Be cool and calm and avoid much stress.
