प्रमुख दूरसंचार कंपनी वोडाफोन इंडिया ने दिवाली पर अपने सभी ग्राहकों को100 एमबी डाटा मुफ्त देने की घोषणा की है. कंपनी ने आज एक प्रेस विज्ञप्ति में बताया कि इसका लाभ उठाने के लिए ग्राहक को अपने फोन से अंग्रेजी में ‘Diwali’ लिखकर 199 पर एसएमएस करना होगा. उसने बताया कि इससे उसके सभी 18 करोड़ 80 लाख ग्राहक अपने रिश्तेदारों-जानने नालों को दिवाली पर ई-ग्रीटिंग तथा ई-मैसेज भेज सकेंगे.
वोडाफोन इंडिया के सीईओ सुनील सूद ने कहा ‘‘डाटा का इस्तेमाल लगातार बढ़ता जा रहा है,
विशेषकर दिवाली जैसे महत्वपूर्ण त्योहारों पर. दिवाली पर नि: शुल्क डाटा देना अपने ग्राहकों के प्यार और ब्रांड में उनके विश्वास के प्रति कृतज्ञता जताने एक तरीका है.’’
